Hardik Pandya might soon retire from test cricket format

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been a huge miss for the Indian cricket in the recent times. It is because he has been suffering from a back issue. And the back injury is not getting any better with time.

According to a report in InsideSport all-rounder Hardik Pandya is likely to retire from Test cricket due to troubles from his long-standing back injury. The all-rounder has not been able to bowl for some time now and he is considering retirement from Test cricket in order to prolong his career. While his Test career numbers may seem fairly decent, Hardik Pandya’s worth in the limited-overs format champions his cause.

Last time Pandya played for team India was in the T20 World Cup where he was seen bowling after a long gap but still confusion persists over his fitness. A BCCI official said, “He has been struggling with injuries for a while and although he hasn’t informed us officially, he is considering Test retirement. It will help him keep his focus on white-ball cricket.”

Meanwhile,  Pandya has decided to skip Vijay Hazare Trophy which starting across the country from Wednesday as he is undergoing an extensive rehabilitation programme in order to regain his bowling fitness according to a Republic TV report.
